Tekergő (Meandrine) FolktalePath Association

The MFPA provides the survival of the folktale’s culture for every age-group, answeing the challanges of this recent period. They provides connection to the traditional oral storytelling and in the meantime it also is a bridge between tradition and contemporary art.

We as the storytellers of the Meandrine FolktalePath Association feel responsibility to get folktales achievable widespread, so that the storyes find children as well as adults, to take place at our homes and community again. We create our programs considering the age group and this aim we would like to achieve.

Fabulous Programs from the age 0-99

We tell stories to babies, with moms and dads, we have musical playing tales for the age group 3-10. But as stories are for everyone, we tell stories to the bigger kids too! Call us, we have some stories even for you!

Story Camps

The Spinning Fairytale Camp was first launched in Fenyőkút, Transylvania, in 2013. Since then, hundreds of children have participated in our fairy tale spins at more and more locations. The children’s smiles, cloudless joy, and the colorfulness of their creations continuously accompany us on our fairy tale trail.

Workshops

We also have professional workshops for parents, teachers, educators and students who learn to teach children.

In our workshops the participants can have a bit of what we do, they can try themselves as heroes, team or tale-writer too. As in most of our programs, we start with our traditions, then we step into the story, and together we try to get in touch with our creative fantasy – and open our storyseeing eyes and storyhearing voice.

We taste the miracle of the oral storytelling and the traditions examining a folktale, and in the meantime we can see how it all connects with music and play.

Voluntary possibilities

In our programs and camps the work of our volunteers is crucial. With the help of them, we can offer free places to those children who are in need, and to pass our programs to more and more schools and kindergartens.
